For over 10 years, acupuncture was my go to for acute flare ups and regular tune ups. Inadvertently, it was also helping me with my emotional and mental health.
I now realize there were underlying patterns at hand, and the chronic pain was one aspect of how those patterns were being expressed.
This journey led me back to myself and into the study of Chinese Medicine. In the spring of 2021, as many people around the world were reflecting on their values and seeking greater alignment, I took a leap of my own and began my acupuncture studies at Pacific Rim College.
For me, Chinese Medicine and acupuncture weave together art, science, and philosophy: a practice that continually grounds me while deepening my understanding of myself and the natural world. Chinese Medicine became a lifeline in my own journey, and I’m grateful to share its wisdom with those who walk through my door.

About Jodi
I grew up in a small logging community on North Vancouver Island - a sensitive kid learning to navigate tough environments. As I grew up, I adapted and became independent, capable, and resourceful. These qualities carried me far in a world that rewards self-sufficiency.
At the age of 19, I was starting to face what was the beginning of my journey with chronic pain. However, my passion for connection, new experiences and adventures, meant the pain I carried was simply a passenger along for the ride.
In my thirties, I was living a full life: married, two kids, successful business, and a garden that allowed me to practice my hand at homesteading. But my chronic pain was starting to leave an imprint on me physically and emotionally. I didn’t understand it and I resented the ways it limited me.
After the birth of my second child in 2009, I started to look at underlying causes of my ailments and began my healing journey, which I nicknamed the staying-out-of-the-wheelchair-program.

My goal is to create a space where you feel truly met, where healing unfolds with gentleness, insight, and the occasional laugh.
